Hi Sue and Craig
This sketch was done in your beautiful landscaped gardens after the fabulous breakfast you presented in the lovely dining pavilion ...
We appreciated the pick up by Craig @ Tambo after our long flights from Canada arriving late evening before.
What a gorgeous waking in South Africa looking onto the lush plants under a sunny sky ...
We enjoyed your gracious hospitality as well as the extra bedding to take off the winter chill of early June ...
Thank you for creating a positive experience before we left for our Safari ...

Good Morning from Canada, Sue and Craig!!
We arrived home safely after 30 hours in transit from Johannesburg to Vancouver via London.
I want to also say how nice it was to meet you, stay at your very well run guest home and partake in your wonderful service and hospitality. We had a wonderful time spend with Kathy, Mahmood and my Brother and his wife Deborah!!
Although the 30 hour transit home was somewhat challenging, we are now trying to get our bodies uses to our own time zone, that is why I am writing this message at 3:30AM our time. Body and mind still need some adjusting.
I will go the link you provided and comment on your accommodation and services.
I wish you SUCCESS only in 2018!
It was a great experience the time we spent at sugarbirds guest house. You guys are very wonderful and gave me a new impression about south African.
Thank you once again for the hospitality.

"Sugarrose Guest House, home away from home."
I arrived at Sugarrose Guest house earlier on in 2017 for a 3-day business trip. I met Sue Maguire, part owner of Sugarrose, inside the airport, as I had no mode of transport from the airport, and received a very warm introduction from her. I was then commuted to Sugarrose where I was welcomed by Craig Maguire, part owner. It was clear right from the beginning that Sue and Craig where made for the hospitality industry. I had received a great welcoming from both and they constantly ensured that I felt as if I was at a home away from home.
I had a great first impression of the house and rooms. The beautiful garden and pool right by the rooms brings about a lovely energy during your stay and the layout of the guesthouse makes you feel at ease. The room was beautifully set out and had quality finishes to it. The room was immaculately clean every time I came back after my day at work, as if I hadn’t stayed there the night before.
Sue and Craig ensured that I had the best possible start to my day as I was treated every morning to a hearty breakfast and great company. A lot of care seemed to of gone into every meal that I received and it really stuck with me.
Overall I had a fantastic time. If I required personal time I could go to my room and feel like I was in my own room in CPT and if I wanted to mingle, Sue and Craig were always there to give me great company. I would greatly recommend Sugar Rose Guesthouse to anyone going up for a business trip, a stay away with family, any internationals or anyone who just wants to experience Johannesburg.
Thank you once again Sue and Craig!
